As a lifelong resident of Orange County, I have observed several changes in Architectural Styles. I became interested in different styles and the reasons behind the changes in styles. It became clear that architectural styles generally reflect the philosophy and intellectual currents of society at a given time. Styles are also influenced by geographical conditions, historical events and religion.
With these factors in mind, I have written a series of articles assessing numerous Architectural Styles occurring in Orange County from the late 1800s to the present time.
