Newport Beach

This project, located in Newport Beach, consisted of remodeling the master suite, updating the exterior and adding an artist studio loft and view deck. The Challenge was to fit the loft and deck within the highly restrictive city height limit regulations.

Access was provided by a spiral stair from the remodeled master suite. The strategic placement of the skylight over the stair landing was needed for the additional headroom required. Existing roofs were extended to enclose the loft. Skylights opened the space, provide light, and additional head height.

The view deck was nestled into the existing roof.
